When creating or editing a site on Postach.io you have the option to set a custom domain. This is for those who want to access their site at something like ‘example.com' instead of example.postach.io.

Using a Custom Domain

Using a top-level domain, such as example.com, requires that you use a CNAME record. Set your subdomain's CNAME to:

domains.postach.io

If you're unsure how to set a CNAME record, contact your domain registrar.

In case your domain registrar doesn’t support CNAME records on top-level domains, you can set the "A" record in your DNS to our IP address. The IP address is:

54.227.242.252

If you're unsure how to set an A record, contact your domain registrar.

Don’t forget to add a CNAME record pointing www to your own domain, so that access via both www and non-www works.

Make sure to remove all other A and AAAA records for your domain/subdomain.

Important:
Once you’ve set up your DNS, then go to Postach.io, log in, and click Edit Site (the pencil icon), and then set the "Custom Domain" name field to your new custom domain.

Using a Subdomain

Using a subdomain, such as blog.example.com, requires that you use a CNAME record in your DNS instead of an A record. Set your subdomain's CNAME to:

domains.postach.io

If you're unsure how to set a CNAME record, contact your domain registrar.

Important:
Once you’ve set up your DNS, then go to Postach.io, log in, and click Edit Site (the pencil icon), and then set the "Custom Domain" name field to your new custom sub-domain.
